Process steps of metal sublimation transfer printing:
1. Image design and processing: Use computer software (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) to design or process patterns that need to be transferred. Pay attention to mirror reversal, as the final transfer is onto the metal.
2. Printing: Use an inkjet printer equipped with sublimation ink to print the mirrored pattern onto specialized heat transfer paper.
3. Preparation of metal substrate: Ensure that the surface of the metal plate (such as aluminum plate, steel plate, stainless steel, etc.) to be transferred has been coated with a special sublimation coating. This is the key to success or failure, ordinary smooth metal cannot undergo thermal sublimation.
4. Positioning: Press the patterned side of the printed transfer paper tightly onto the metal plate and secure it with high-temperature tape to prevent movement.
5. Hot press transfer printing:
·Place the metal plate with the transfer paper pasted on it into the flat plate heat transfer machine.
·Set the appropriate temperature (usually around 190 ° C), pressure, and time (usually tens of seconds to minutes).
·After the heating and pressurization process is completed, turn on the device.
6. Cooling and Paper Tearing: After waiting for the metal plate to cool down, gently tear off the transfer paper. The pattern has been permanently transferred onto the metal surface.
