The actual operation of "glass sublimation transfer printing"
There are usually two ways to achieve the "glass sublimation transfer printing" we are talking about now:
Method 1: Use coated specialized glass
This is the most common and commercialized method.
1. Special glass: Glass products that require surface treatment with special polymer coating (such as cups, plates, photo frames). This coating provides a permeable medium for sublimation ink.
2. Printing: Use sublimation ink and inkjet printers to print the reversed image onto sublimation transfer paper.
3. Transfer printing:
·Wrap/stick the printed transfer paper onto the coated glass.
·Put it into a heat transfer printing machine (such as a cup baking machine, flat plate ironing machine).
·Heat at the set temperature (approximately 180-200 ° C) and pressure for a certain period of time (approximately 60-180 seconds).
·High temperature causes sublimation ink to vaporize and penetrate into the polymer coating on the glass surface.
4. Finished product: After completion, the pattern is permanently embedded in the coating, scratch resistant, washable, and smooth to the touch.
